Yes I do, I am having the exact same problem, good thing I didn't buy VeriChat...

It's a shame tho, VeriChat was the best BlackBerry IM application I've ever used, nothing comes close (except IM+, but it's still missing features and is not as easy to use and robust)...

it is a shame, seems like they don't even answer their support email . . . too bad, hopefully someone will develop a better product in the near future.

You mean VeriChat does not update MSN nicknames from the server. You can use WebMessenger Desktop Client to nickname your contacts to be reflected on your mobile device. You only have to do this once. From then on, WebMessenger will display the nicknames you have chosen for your contacts on your mobile device.

I am wondering if Verichat has just stopped operating. Myne worked perfectly up till yesterday. Graphics were great. Now its stopped connecting. And when i think it has it does not expeand the names at all. There is something that keeps saying force MDS, its a square box which does not change. Thiere is an option to hit OK which i do. But still nothing happens

Mine still works, although the service is intermittent. I think that is a fairly common/well known issue. However, I am also experiencing the same problem you are where it doesn't recognize new contacts I've added recently. Although mine were Yahoo contacts, it is still frustrating to say the least.

I had about three weeks left on my Verichat subscription when it started giving me a message that my subscription had expired. Because of the change of ownership of PDAApps, and related problems I keep reading about, I have gone back to WebMessenger.

IMHO, WebMessenger isn't quite as flashy as Verichat, but seems to keep a connection better. As Adamlau, pointed out, you can change nicknames with the WebMessenger web client too.

Has anybody ever used the WebMessenger chat rooms from their Blackberry? I have seen other users in those rooms, but have never seen any active conversations.
