All my email comes through with my nickname and I'd like to change it but I've no idea where to do it or how. Could someone out there help. This is not my blackberry.att.net name.

You can log into your BIS account and change it there. I'm under 10 posts and can't give you the att link.

Hi Victoria, there's no name in my BIS space. That's why I can't figure this out. I went to AT&T's BIS and checked everything. Thanks for trying!

For third party accounts connected to BIS, i.e Yahoo Mail, GMail, Hotmail etc you need to log into the actual email account e.g Yahoo for Yahoo Mail and you can change name/nickname options in there. This will solve your problem.

Can you please further explain where it occurs? Is it for your contact, or another contact?

Try looking at the contact in question's entry in Contacts and look at the 'nickname' field.

If it comes up in SMS .... it might be in your address book?...
