Hi bghadban,

This is a 9700 forum, so you're posting on the wrong place.

I don't own a 9780 and have 9700, but have OS6 so what I have on my phone should be the same as yours. I am not sure what search bar you're referring to. On the home screen there is no search bar, just a little magnifying glass button on the right hand side which brings up search if pressed. Do you mean the search bar that comes up when you start typing characters in the home screen? If that's the one you're referring to then I don't think it's possible to hide it. Universal search is one the key features brought in by OS6 and for many users this is one of the best features.

There is no 9780 forum from what i see, and it says 9700 series, so figured i'd post it here.

but ya, its the bar that has the magnifying glass and the sounds profile

This is the correct forum.

anar, the 9780 is a 9700 series device, so threads about it, belong here, in the 9700 series device forum

You can't hide this. You would need to get a different Theme that has no search bar. I don't know if such a Theme exists (maybe from a thirtd-party vendor).
