had tried most nokia websites from usa to europe and asia pacific.. can only find the users' guide but not the .sis piece of s/w needed. any help with link pointers greatly appreciated.. thanks

You should be able to do it straight from the phone. Go to Email icon and install client.

Nokia Business Software

Under the Region, select “Asia-Pacific”
Operators, select “Others”
Model, select “E61” and Click on Show

** Please check the firmware version of your handphone first to ensure that you download the correct BB Connect version by keying in *#0000* on our NK E61.

Here is what you need to do, I did this for about 3 hours yesterday. Go to www.businesssoftware.nokia.com, and go to the other applications, blackberry, and then downloads. it sounds like you already know how to get this far. The key is you need to tell them you are from a region other than the US, try Europe, carrier must be other, then select UK. the file will show up. After that, when the download screen comes up, you can say you are from the US, it does not matter at that point.

All that being said - I LOVE my E61!
