I picked up the 8820 from ATT today and have noticed a dramatic difference in wifi speeds compared with the 8320.
Maybe its just that I got a bad device the first time a round but the 8820 is truly going at my laptop wifi speed.

Try forcing your 8320 as WiFi only, by default all your traffic proxies through blackberry.net servers -- I notice a remarked increase in speed (even to just install stuff from my own, private OTA server on the public 'net) when I force traffic to not proxy.

My 8820 is fast on WiFi- but I don't have 8320 to compare to.
