Hi,

I have a problem with the new desktop manager 4.3

I have installed it, and after this my blackberry stopped receiving email. Each time I was trying to synchronize it, I got an error message telling me that I am not connected to the exchange server.

I thought that it was a possible policies from my company BES server to do not use the desktop manager 4.3 therefore I rolled back to the previous version of the desktop manager (4.2 sp1). And now I receive email on my blackberry however when i connect it to my laptop to synchronize it, I got an internal error from Intellisync with a message asking me to check the logs but I looked at the logs but I couldn't find anything.

Anybody runs into a similar issue? (I looked at the forums but I couldn't find anything)

How is your mail setup? Are you on a Corporate BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server?) If so, you likely messed up the encryption key between your handheld and the server when you connected to the Desktop Manager. You can try going to Options >Security Options >General Settings. Scroll to the bottom and highlight "Desktop" under "Services." Then hit the menu key and select "Regenerate Encryption Key." That might just get you back up and running.

yes, this is a frequent problem. I think RIM should do some changes on their software, that if you select to synchronize over the network, you BB won't come up with the "generate new key" everytime you connect it to a PC. it's especially annoying when you're adn administrator and often connect different Blackberries to your own computer

I never get that message. The key is setting up the Desktop manager properly.

Hey John are you using DM 4.3 yet I have stuck with 4.2 just wondering if it's woth upgrading. I messed around with it when it first came out and had to delete eveything and reconfigure it all.
