Default My Location - Google maps

Please Login to Remove!

It seems like it *should* be possible to reset this location as Gmaps has my location a LONG way off (cell tower triangulation, I know).

Is there a way to tell GMaps, "This is where I want you to assume I am?"

Or should I just set my actual address as a fave and use that option?

Thanks (I gotta get a GPS puck),
n.

You don't have any control over the cell tower triangulation in Google Maps.

the built in gps in your 8310 should narrow your location down much closer than without...to about 3 meters.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

In my case as well, the accuracy is NOT good. However, it is a step in the right direction (no pun intended). The technology will improve.

They're just three miles off on my location. Cell towers indeed!

Mine is relatively close, but my question is; is there anyway to search another phones location from my google maps?

That'd be a great feature... Find a friend, find a lost phone (I'd only use the power for good).

I don't think it's possible, though.

I think it is possible, as you can search an address. However, the problem maybe the bad use of the service...
