Default 8900 device switch (HALP)

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I need to switch contacts from a 8320 curve to a 8900. everything switched except for contacts for some odd reason. I tried the back up and restore it was greyed out and tried the device switch it didn't seem to switch contacts... not exactly a blackberry expert as i should especially cause i work in IT. So any suggestions? using DM4.7

DM 4.7 is fine to use.

Open DM > Backup/Restore > Advanced and in the left hand pane, select File > Open and find your most recent backup of the old device.

Once that data loads in the left hand window, find and highlight the Address Book database and click the right-facing arrow in the middle, and follow the prompts.

I don't understand what you are doing then.

AFTER you backup the old device, close DM.

Connect the new device. Open DM.

Proceed with my instructions above.
