Increasing mic sensitivity

I have a need to increase the sensitivity of the microphone of a BB phone when it is being used on handsfree (not BT). From time to time I have to use this method of use in a single room environment, where I need to be able to hear a pin drop for safety reasons.
Anyone know of an app that would turn the BB into a conference table top like device that would pick up all sounds in a room productively?
