Default "unread" message synchronization 8705

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I have 2 queries. I hope someone can shed some light.

Q2 - Sometimes I read an email using my PC and Outlook it does not recognise as being read on my Blackberry. I was thinking that it is because it is a lower priority for my Blackberry (IE - prioritizing synchronization tasks such as ensuring that recently sent emails are received is of higher priority than ensuring that "read" emails are synched)
Is this a correct(ish) guess or is there something that can be done to ensure that read / unread mails are synched with immediate effect?

Q2 - When I use Outlook I can sometimes type "a" and my Outlook To pane drops down a list of all email addresses that start with the letter "a" even if they are not in my contacts list. Is there any way that I can add this functionality to my Blackberry 8705 without adding the email addresses to my contacts.

I understand they may be petty requests, but I appreciate any assistance that you can give.

many thanks,
Dell

Q1 - Are you on BIS? This event could take up to 6 hours to reconcile read receipts, at times. BES will be faster.

Q2 - Your BlackBerry will not "remember" addresses that are not added to the contact list, so typing the letter "a" will bring up all entries in your address book that start with the letter "a" (by first, last or company name) and will not retrieve addresses not entered in the Address Book.

Q1 - I'm on a BES (with version 4+ firmware)
Q2 - Thanks, I thought this might be the case, but thought I'd check if there was a way.

Hi,

I am on a BES (with version 4+ firmware)
messages that have been read are not synchronizing as being read on my blackberry.
There are emails 2 days old that have not synchronized as being read.
Is this normal?

1. Resend service book
2. On the HH, turn reconcile off and save then turn it back on and save. Try then reconcile now.
Does it work?
