Default Permanently remove items from AT&T (Cingular) Service Book

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know how to permanently remove certain items from AT&T (Cingular) Service Book on the Curve (8300)?

For example, I would like to get rid of all the Media Mall items (MusicID, ShopTones, etc.) as well as TeleNav Maps.

I deleted the items but it returns when I reboot the device.

Thanks

Nothing can do. It's pushed out by your carrier.
You can just hide the apps on the homescreen and never have to see them again.

^^

Telenav offers spoken directions and a '3d' moving map that follows you as you move.

Telenav costa $10/month, BBmaps is free. Telenav will not work outside the US, BBmaps will.

I created another folder and moved all the apps I didn't care about there, then hid the folder..

Sam,

How were you able to move icons into a folder? I tried to do that but whenever I move the icon, it doesn't allow me to move into a folder.

Thanks

Is there a way to delete the preloaded pictures? I know on my old sprint 8703e, I was able to do that, but have not had any luck on the 8300. Thanks.

It helps if you don't hijack a thread if you really need an answer.

You don't need to worry about removing Telenav if you haven't subscribed to it.

You could always use Amaze GPS. It does both spoken and traditional maps. The accuaracy is fairly good, just don't think that when any of them say right turn 500ft that you actually have 500ft. More like 100-150ft. The delay time from the gps and phone isn't perfect yet, but for free, its damn close!

Hide the icon. Its not an installed application but rather a link advertising it.
