Default Easy access to sent SMS / emails

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere - I did try to search for it!

I want to be able to access my sent and received SMSs (and emails) separately, but quickly. I have separated emails from SMS, and then found an option to hide sent ones so the respective folders dont mix sent and received (which I dont want) but then the only way I have found to view sent messages (or emails) is to reset this option (mixing the sent & received messages) and then set it back after viewing. Is there no way of having sent / received SMS (and emails) going to separate folders (e.g. INBOX and SENT, like on other devices) and the quickly accessing these independently?

It's common on other phones / email clients, so I suspect there's an obvious way of doing it - I just havent been able to find it!

Thanks in advance...

If you want both the incoming and outgoing SMS messages in one folder, then the first option you want to set to No is the Hide Sent Items in Messages > Options > General Options. Then what you could do is either use the ALT + S to view your SMS Messages while in the Messages module, or you could map one of the side convenience keys to your SMS Messages box. This can be done in Options > Screen/Keyboard. That way you could press one of the side convenience keys and be taken immediately to your SMS messages.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the tips - I didnt know about alt+i, o or s and they will all come in handy. None of them quite do what I'm after though - I am looking to have 4 'automatic folders' - sent emails, received emails, sent sms and received sms and have (or be able to set up) quick access to all of them.

alt+i gives (received emails + received sms + received calls)
alt+o gives (sent emails + sent sms + calls made)
alt+s gives (sent sms + received sms)

at the moment I separate emails from sms, and hide sent, and then use alt+s to view sent sms as required (but they are mixed in with the received ones) and alt+o to view sent emails (but they are mixed in with sent sms and calls) - so, very useful, but not ideal

Cheers for the useful tips so far!
