Default Memory stick issues

Please Login to Remove!

My wife and I recently purchased a couple of Blackberry 8300 Curves. I am upgrading from the Pearl. We are using TMobile.
We are both having problems getting the phones to reconize our memory cards. We have tried 1G SanDisk, Nokia, and Kingston, as well as a 32mB SanDisk card. We started out by going to Media card manager, and then formatting. The phone sees the card and formats. The phone displays a message that says format successful. Then we try to move files to the card or try to save pics to the card, and it (the card) is not reconized. I took my phone to Tmobile and tried a couple different cards of the same brand and even tried another phone. None were recognized. We put the same cards into a Pearl and they worked just fine.

Any ideas???

Please email solutions to me at
[email address]

Also, can you change the color of the trackball like you can on the Pearl?

double posting is more likely to get you ignored than positive help. please keep it to one thread. how are you trying to move information to the phone? are you still using media manager or are you trying to copy to the drive in "My Computer"

First of all, you don't need to format the SD. If you did that, it is probably useless. The only thing you can put on the cars are music and pictures. You can store other type docs there, but the BB won't see them.

Try inserting the card into your PC and copying the data to it that way. Then install into your BB and see if it sees the data.

The largest card currently supported is 4 GB. Make sure you are inserting it correctly.

well it should be formated in the blackberry first. this creates the necessary folders for the data. aka, blackberry > music, pictures, video, ringtones, etc. once you have those folders you can copy directly from the PC into the appropriate folders.
