all current 8300 series phones are GSM and will not be able to be used on CDMA carriers. They are two completely different services and require differing hardware in the phones.

Thanks for the quick reply. Are there any AT&T blackberries that can be unlocked and used for Verizon?

No. AT&T uses GSM. Verizon uses CDMA.

Plus, Verizon currently only allows Verizon branded phones on their network. Same for Sprint. However, there have been some instances when the phone's ESN was in the Verizon (or Sprint) database and it was allowed to connect.

Sprint will be allowing unlocked CDMA devices on their network in the coming months/years. Verizon is also rumored to be allowing this in the future, though its a rumor for both until they actually unlock their devices.
