Just updated to a newer software version on my Torch so that I can type in Chinese. After I did this, when I send texts to some people now, my text messages are broken into many bits and pieces.

For example, something short like: "This is test try number 2, please let me know if this is still happening. Thanks, bye!"
will be sent as 6 text messages rather than just one.

I tried wiping my phone clean and everything but it's still happening. Some of the phones that are on the receiving end are Nokia and iPhones.

Please help!

The normal SMS is 160 characters but not for Chinese. Depending on your encoding, you may be able to increase it but you will sacrfice some characters. You may also have a carrier limit for some reason and if this does not help maybe a call to them will help.
