Wirelessly posted (Sex Machine)

I noticed that the Jav has double the ROM but the Bold has a gig flash built in. Can you use the built in flash for message storage/app installation, etc... ?

I'm just wondering because if they end up having similar pricepoints and you can't have messages stored in the gig flash, then I'm gonna have to go with the Javelin. Even though the Bold is faster and über sexy, I really would rather have the extra onboard ROM.

Thanks in advance,

Myk

No, the 128 is for apps, SMS, etc etc...

the 1 GB is for media, songs, movies etc etc

C'est la vie...

Correct me if im wrong, but isnt ROM = Read Only Memory? - how could you use ROM to store new data if its read-only?

Can anyone tell me how much memory is FREE on the bold AFTER The OS And core components? Because right now on my curve I have about 17MB... It sounds like a lot more to have 128 instead of 64, but how much more space does the BOLD 4.6 OS take up?

Can someone post their FREE SPACE on the BOLD?

Still can't decide between the bold and the javelin :( Shame, isn't it?

well i cant say for certain, but i would guess there will be still ALOT of room for apps after the fact... i mean with my curve i already have: todomatrix, idea matrix, docs to go, money manager, opera, beyond411, facebook, MSN live, Viigo, OTA sync, BB alerts, bb light all on... and i still have 20-22 MB free at the end of the day...

i can imagine the OS being a tad biggers, so my guess is you will have plenty left for space
