Cool Verizon 8830 & Getitnow MyContacts

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I'm a blackberry newbie, so be gentle, just coming over from the LG enV. I love the BB, but had one question. I had the free MyContacts app set up through getitnow where they keep your contacts online so you can easily sync a new phone and pull down all your contacts. Is there a way to do this with the new BB? I'm ignorant to this process and thought that verizon would have some sort of getitnow button on there. Not that I like their system for most apps, but for that particular piece, it was helpful. Tried the search but came up with nothing.

Thanks,
Kones

Desktop manager has an import feature, so if you can somehow export your old list to a CSV file you can probably get it imported with DM. Never used getitnow, so I don't know if they support this.

I'll see if I can get it output in some delineated format and go from there, will let others know tomorrow probably if it's possible.

Had the same dilemna when I went from a Razr to the Treo 700w, in short you can't do it unless you goto a verizon store and pay $10 (but if you get the right tech they will do it for free) and have them do a 20 second phonebook transfer. Unless you can get your contacts from the LG downloaded, you will either have to pay the $10 or input you address book in manually as smartphones don't support GetItNow.

If you are a "valued customer" (e.g., you spend an obscene amount of money monthly--over $75, maybe?), they are supposed to do it for free anyway.
