That's $420.78 in U.S. dollars. Yikes!! That black coloring is expensive. No wonder Cingular opted for grey...it costs less Beauty is in the ey$$e's of the beholder.

Ya... they had the launch event this morning in Toronto... unfortunately I wasn't able to attend, but I do know a couple of people from here did make it.

If they choose, they may write up a little blurb about it, but they may not...

What happened to Cingular's 90 day exclusive period for the 8700? I suppose that was just a rumor?

Nah, Cingular has the rights to sell 8700 in the USA for first 90 days before other US wireless carriers can sell.

The exclusivity was limited to the USA as I understand it.

Cingular has a 90-day exclusive that started November 1st, to be exact. And correct that is only in the USA for exclusivity.

No chance these will ship unlocked - you are misinformed. Cingular stopped doing this quite some time ago.

You never know...all the ones they gave out at the event are unlocked. Pretty stupid to have them unlocked at a CINGULAR launch party don't you think? Have you tried putting a T-Mobile SIM in a 8700c?
