Hi All,

Just got a BB pearl and wanted to say hi. Reasonably impressed but I guess it will just take time to get used to everything.

On my old Nokia phone I had folders set up for customers, associates, colleagues, family and friends with different MP3 ringtones for each. Is it possible to do this on the Pearl? - seems it doesn't allow me to use more than 1 mp3 song for the phones alert.

Appreciate any help you can give

You can set a ringtone for each contact in your address book. Edit the number, click the Pearl and select "Custom Ringtone".

Welcome, and you can create new groups for whatever you want in the address book. All you need to do is click on the menu button when in the address book, and choose new group. Name the group, and then it will be availble for you to put names into, and sort etc.

Thanks for the welcome. I have set up folders for each group in categories. Can I assign an mp3 ringtone to the categories or do I need to change each contact within the category? Also, I have created the mp3 ringtones myself using mp3directcut. How do I get the BB to recognise these as ringtones?
