Yes, it works fine on my Curve with 4.5.

Emails that are sent in HTML open with the native email viewer in HTML, and messages sent in plain text open in BBSmart, so they look a lot better than the normal plain text emails. I know a lot of people that prefer not to use HTML email (for privacy and security reasons), so BBSmart is still very useful for me.

After I installed the new OS 4.5 and resent service books my BBSmart email viewer stopped working, I contacted BBSmart customer svce but all I got is that they won't do any upgrades because the new BB OS 4.5 HTML viewer supersedes their program. After several attempts to solve this issue I finally found the solution. In order for BBSmart to work you will need to go to Options on your Email/Message screen choose Email Settings and set Enable HTML Email to No on all of your email accounts. Worked like a charm for my BB 8820.
