Default Is this another BES MailBox issue with OS 4.5?

Please Login to Remove!

Okay, I've already discovered 3 issues with Empower BES MailBox and the 4.5 OS to include the following

1. BIS/Messages inbox is displayed for about a half-second when entering the BES MailBox.

2. BES MailBox is not displaying the unread message count.

3. BES MailBox is not hiding Sent Messages even though set to do so.

Now, I have discovered a 4th issue, but I want to confirm it is an actual issue, or if I'm just missing something here:

4. Messages received in Outlook that have rules sending them to subfolders within the Inbox are not showing up on the phone.

This is a folder redirection issue.
You need to set up folder redirection if you want messages to those folders delviered to your handheld.

On the device:
Messages > Options > Email Settings > click menu button > Folder Redirection

Expand the folder tree and check off any folders you want redirected to the handheld.

I'm fairly certain I checked that and all folders are selected, but I will confirm and get back to you.

This is an issue with your BB. Both of these work just fine for me with BES Mailbox.

If by "your BB" you mean the 8330 on OS 4.5, then yes, I agree.

No, I mean your specific BB. I'm sure these issues don't exist on all 8330's running 4.5.

Until I see a post by an Alltel 8330 user running 4.5 stating these are not issues for him, I don't believe it's an issue specific to my device.

Not Alltel but both my boss and I are on BES mailboxes using 4.5 on 8330s with no issues like you have described.

Has anybody found a solution to this point?
