Anyone experience this problem; if more than one task alerts occur, the BB becomes locked (more like unusable). The alert of the 2nd task is locked at the forefront of the screen but you can go into other programs etc, all in the background. And to get out you have to pop the battery?

I've been running into that one since the upgrade a couple of days ago.

Pain in the arse I tell ya.

Default help!

Okay guys i have a bit of a problem and hope you guys can help me out. I attempted on installing this update to the BBP OS and i followed the instructions installed the latest loader and OS, aswell as the JL cdmer. while doing the update my files were backed up successfully but when it wiped my phone and attempted to install the os my screen stayed black and a red light flashes on and off every couple of seconds. i followed the guide useing JL cdmer and nothing seems to work it the light just keep flashing as if its resetting in a loop. can anyone shed some light on this?

Welcome to the forums,
This link should help you out:

What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ

For future reference, it is not necessary to wipe the device with JL_Cmder before doing a software upgrade. The upgrade process wipes the device automatically before installing the new software.

If you can't get it to connect and wipe, try it with the battery removed.

Good work. When it's done, restore your backup and you should be good to go.

Default 107 deleting sms and call log

by the way in case anyone's having this problem it's very common with the new OS, it will erase your old sms and also prevent you from receiving new ones, also it will erase your call log. i was getting mad at a few friends for not getting back to me via sms, and then i found out that they had been texting me the whole day, but i wasn't getting them. with TMo customer service we just did a soft reset and seemed to resolve the problem, but she said it's happening to a lot of people with the 107

This has been an issue as far as I remeber with 4.2.1.xxx. You can also turn off and on your handheld and then be able to open/snooze/dismiss the event. This tends to happen more often if you snooze several alerts and then try to open one while there are still others coming up to open/snooze/dismiss after opening that one.

"bricked" your phone? What exactly happened? More than likely we can help you fix it.

Yes, in the 4.2.0 to 4.2.1 upgrade the fonts are just slightly different.

This isn't a .107 issue. This is a Pearl issue. Your memory is full.

Did they seem lighter and less readable to you??
