Default listen to WAV sounds sent in a email ???

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know how I can listen to WAV sounds sent in a email on my PERL (8100). I get my voicemail sent to me as a WAVE sound and my PERL is not recognizing it as a downloadable attachment. Does anyone know what I can do?

If you're on a BIS plan you can't do it until your carrier upgrades their version of BIS. A workaround, which is posted in detail on Blackberryforums, is to send the email w/ the /wav to a gmail account and then open gmail using the IE emulation of the web browser - then you have an option to scan and download which will allow you to hear the voicemail. It's a bunch of extra work but the only way I've found to get my Vonage voicemail on my Pearl...

IIRC - If you are on a BES -- your BES Admin needs to enable the .wav file type as a "forwardable" email attachment type. Otherwise, the BES does not send it to your phone as a full attachment

Lightbulb AudioPOP

I've been using AudioPOP for this with my gmail account through T-Mobile BIS.

It seems to work pretty well with my voice messages.

BIS 2.2

I think t mobile currently is at 2.1 with no sign of upgrade. this is really a downer not being able to get my home messages.

Cool

I downloaded AudioPOP from here and its kinda cool and it downloads the voice mails from my YouMail account, but I'm kind of on the fence about paying $14.99 for a program that the phone should already do.
I know its only $14.99 but if I want to listen to my voicemail from my phone why not just call my voicemail box? it seems like a waste of money for my application of the application.

I would see how this could be used by people that can only access their Voicemail from a email. I just don't understand why the PERL can't just download the file!! EERRR!!

The perl can easily download them and play them. Its our stupid wireless provider that doesnt allow wav through their system.
