Question Bluetooth redial while in holster?

Please Login to Remove!

I have been using a BT200 with my 7290 for the past few days without any problems.

I just tried for the first time to initiate a redial from the headset while the Blackberry was in the holster and it didn't work. Redial from the headset works fine when it is not in the holster. The headset WILL answer/hangup the phone while it is in the holster.

Is there a setting somewhere that I have set incorrectly? Has anyone been able to redial from a bluetooth headset while the Blackberry is in the holster?

I could have sworn I had done this before but I just tried it and it didn't work. :(

I've had the same experience wit my BT250 and a 7290 running 3.8. The first day I had the BT250 I could press a button and it would redial. Now I can't get it to do it anymore.

Actually this is kind of good because I was accidentally hitting the button and dialing people when I didn't want to. The only thing is I wish I knew were the option was (if it isn't a bug that is) so I can be sure not to turn it back on again.

Thumbs up

Okay. I figured it out. It will redial, but you have to hold the button in until a second short beep is heard. I wasn't holding it down long enough.

It is actually in the manual, but it is hidden under a heading of "Once you're done pairing, the following new headset features will be available:"

The first bullet is:

"Last number redial (when not in a call)
While the headset is on, press and hold <phone button> until 2 short beeps, release immediately."

Actually now that I'm really looking at the manual I see the stuff I quoted before is under step "13) Enhanced features (for Bluetooth phones with hands-free profiles)," and then goes on to list a few Nokia models, Sony Ericsson, and Siemens. I assumed the BlackBerry wasn't one of them and skipped the entire section. I would be that is a common mistake.
