Default Time for an upgrade from my old 8100

Please Login to Remove!

I've been looking at all the new models, and the 8900 seems like it has pretty much everything that the more hyped ones have (ie: storm, bold, tour), plus better size/looks I think.
-Is there something I'm missing, or is it just as well equipped as the Bold and Tour?

-Is there anyone out there that's owned or used the bold and tour?

-Anyone know of side by side reviews? (not just comparisons)?

-Also would like to know of any common problems people are experiencing, and what owners of the 8900 curve would rate their phones on a 1-10 scale.

Thanks in advance for help and knowledge!

Take the Storm & Tour out of your options. CDMA 'Berries are more limited, no Wi-Fi, etc. The Bold is nice but a little big plus I like the keyboard on the 8900 better. Only difference between the Bold and 8900 that I can think of is the Bold has a 2MP cam and the 8900 is 3.2 (looks real nice btw) and the Bold has 3G and the 8900 only has EDGE but it's still pretty quick IMO.

8.5/10

Only reason it's not a 10 is bc of battery life which is slowly getting better since I got the desktop charger.

If you go to YouTube and do a search on "phonedog" then one of their vids is a side by side comparison of the 8900 and the Storm.

Thanks all! Pretty sold on the 8900 now. Only thing is the keys: This has the chiclet type keys right? Always thought they were a dated design compared to the pearl style keys. I imagine they make typing actually easier anyway, so certainly not a dealbreaker.
Thanks again for the responses. Anyone with more downsides or upsides to add, please do.

The keys aren't too bad once you get used to them. It took me about a week after upgrading from my 8300.

The 8900 is great and if you're on T-Mobile the 9000 won't give 3G and the 9630 is CDMA.
