I'm going to get the new Boost Mobile 8530 when it's available and want to switch all my contacts, settings, apps, etc. from my 8330 over to it. I know the Desktop Software has a device transfer wizard. Does this transfer wizard only work between two Berries of the same model, or can it go between different models and series?

Also, is it OK to transfer my media card without formatting it?

It wouldn't be much of a Device Switch wizard if it couldn't handle switching between different devices!
Yes, it can switch any device. Only things it may not transfer is Themes. As these are device specific.

And yes, that should be fine.
