Data Usage Monitor
Please Login to Remove!
Hi All,
Im looking for a data usage monitor that is not MiniMoni. I have a blackberry bold 4.6 and it just doesnt work particularly well on this handheld (frequent crashes).
Is there any other way of monitoring data or similar program?
I have tried searching but all that ever comes up is minimoni

Mobile Data Alerter
it is from e0office mobile, after the trial period it automatically downloads a licence to use it, so far it is an excellent program.
you can track and set up, with alerts: wifi, local, roaming

Very nice app. Just installed and I like it so far. Like the fact it can track both Wi-fi and EDGE usage. Wish I came across this earlier. Thanks Ray

OP states that the licence key automaically downloads. I'm playing with it now. I noticed that it does not track jive talk while on wi-fi.
Will post more feedback as I discover

Nice find, Ray!
The license thing does make me curious though, when the trial expires and it downloads a new license, when does that expire?

Couple of things I noticed:
Last night I turned the wi-fi off. I did read some feeds on Viigo, checked a few websites and durimg the night recived 20 emails. This morning, the counter shows that I've used total od 1.2 KB. Even with the blackberry compression this seems to low. Wheb I open a website, the counter tracks bytes, eve tho on the stats bar I get the size of the site in KB. For example, the status bar showe 62kb when loading this site, but the counter registered only 20B.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

I just noticed exactly the same problem.
I had wifi connected, started surfing a few sites, checking stock prices, etc. It showed that I had used zero data. Which is very surprising

incorrect counters
I read you see incorrect figures when using WiFi. Could you please let me know what device type and OS version you are running.
We've seen in some rare cases simmilar strange behaviour. It looks like we can narrow it down to 'older' devices with OS 4.5 running. Is this correct?

On my 8120, this application is way off. I went online and downloaded over 30kb of data to test its accuracy. The program said I used 815 Bytes. So it appears to be not working at all for me. I really wanted it to work as I am looking for an application that does just this (and would also like it to track my minutes) but both this and Minimoni are way off.

Mini moni doesn't work on OS 4.5 or higher. Mobile data monitor works only on OS 4.6. Couldn't get it to work on my 8320 runnis 4.5 but works great on my 8900 running 4.6. I will tell you more about accuracy when I get my bill on the 1-st

I tried to install version 4.3+ on my Bold 9000 and got the following message: 'Uncaught exception: Module with handle [1149] and index [0] has no application entry point'.
It then reboots and when I run Data Usage Monitor, it doesn't work and I get the following message: 'Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException'
Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? My OS version is 4.6.0.297.
Thanks.

You always go into Options -> Status and type the letters buyr on OS 4.6 and higher it tells you the data and voice usage not very convenient but its there.

Does that counter ever reset? or it tracks life-long data usage?
