Just looking for experiences and version details for pairing an 8900 with an inbuilt VW Premium Bluetooth unit (I believe made by Nokia)

I can find various threads in other forums suggesting RSAP is supported by the 8900 and it works fine... However, when I try and pair (as per instructions in above link) it appears to not even find my 8900.... No compatible phone found....

Anyone got these working?
Are there any particular versions recommended?
Any particular settings?

Turns out that Bluetooth was knackered on the 8900!
Had Orange replace the unit today and it has paired and seemed to work OK....First time....

Then... second time the PREMIUM kept on 'connecting', the 8900 thought it was connected (and had disbled 'Mobile Network' as I would expect) and then finally comes up with an uncaught exception error relating to bluetooth.... (Will get exact message next time)
From then on the phone stays with the blue indicator flashing, despite manually turning bluetooth off and normal shutdown/restart. Only way to reset is to remove battery.....

New 8900 is currently on 5.0.0.681... Will try 5.0.0.822....

Any other ideas or suggestions?!?

So, upgraded handeset s/w to 5.0.0.822. I have left 'discoverable' on, and so far (fingers VERY crossed) so good....

Should I have to leave 'discoverable' on for it to pair with an existing connection?!? I'd have though not, but it works now, so don't really want to break it (again!)

It could be an issue with BB's implementation of rsap, and how this interacts with the PREMIUM (Nokia NK2?) car unit.

Anyhow, shall leave for now and hope it stays connecting!

So, just as I was getting into the car to bring our new son home from hospital it stopped working..... The VW Premium Bluetooth unit just stated connecting.... and timed out. The BB8900 seems to think it's connected (blue flash, shows connected and disables phone), but no remote sim message, etc.

I have tried reset, clear original pairing, battery out, reset, etc. etc.

I'm going to try re-flashing the phone to same level again.... any other ideas?!?
