I have a very awkward problem that I've been dealing with since I got my Cingular BB Pearl -

I get just over 200 work emails per day and I'm frequently sending text messages as well. Is there a way to keep text messages out of my email inbox? Maybe I've been spoiled with the various Palm and Windows devices I've owned over the years (used Good Link), but I've never had this problem before. The way it's steup now, the text messages seemingly get "lost in the shuffle" with all of the other emails. Is there a way to completely seperate the two?

My co-worker with a T-Mobile BB Pearl is having the same problem as well. I called Cingular today and they told me there's no fix.

Any ideas? This has to be something within the phone's settings, I just can't seem to find how to change it.

There are themes that separate the two. The White Tmobile Zen theme does, as well as the Vodaphone Today theme.

If you update your Blackberry.alx file with the one created by Jibi, you'll be able to unlock those themes and have separation.

There's a search feature as part of the forums that will help you achieve the step from above. Hope that helps.

I have a saved search set with shortcut key to show my work email addressed 'to' me only (ALT+M), one for my Gmail (ALT+G) and you should already have ALT+S for SMS... I agree with you that I would ratrher have them in their own separate folders but this works just fine for me...

Messages | Thumb wheel | Search - enter you rcriteria and save - remember to set a shortcut key.

Messages | Thumb wheel | Search | Recall - will show you existing shortcuts that you can edit.
