I'm getting a bit confused and hope someone can clear things up. I've got some users that have the 6510, and Nextel has told me that 4.0 will be released for the unit, but some features won't be available. Now I'm reading on the Inquirer that 4.0 will not support 8 meg devices. Does anyone know which is the case? The features my users will be most interested in on the 6510 is wireless sync of everything, and the improved attachment support.

Almost sure it won't work :( The 8MB version of the BB 6710 won't even run 3.7.x.x due to memory requirements so it's a good bet that your BB 6510 won't run 4.0.

Looks like I'll be requesting a 7510 or 7520 in my budget....don't know how to break the news to the users that bought various 8 meg devices.

Maybe if you skipped out on some options, like tasks, calendar, memopad, etc... it might fit then..

This is what I got from Nextel:
Yes it will be, but there are some features like the On-Handheld help that you won't be able to load on the handheld.

Guess I'll just have to wait until 4.0 is out of beta and available for Nextel devices...
