one quick question...one small suggestion
Please Login to Remove!
I tried to send a message to someone on the site and used the "e'mail a buddy feature" (I'm new to on-site messaging). I understand that my e'mail will show up when sending these messages, but I'm uncertain of whether or not these messages are sent directly to the user profile's e'mail address or if it is sent as a notification here on the site. I did send a message via the "private message" option, but I did not send the message that was sent via the "e'mail" option...if the user profile has his/her setting set so that he does not have "e'mails" sent to him where would that message have gone? Are those messages sent to the user profile's Blackberry e'mail address? Help me to understand this...and for my suggestion: I would like to have available the option to click on a name/user profile that I have added to my buddy list so that it would make for a smooth transition when checking out what's new over on that page (I had to copy a paste the name into a search to view the profile) thanks guys

is that a real question...
What is dc/dc? -[Maxium Security = under close supervision, maxium - unexcapable, the highest form of security]-...I really don't know how to answer your question...

Cartiel,
If a member has Private Messages enabled, AND they have it enabled to send their registered email a notification of that PM, then their email will receive a notification. Otherwise, the user will see the PM when next logged in to this site.
If the member has email messages enabled, they will receive a notification to their registered email address of the message.
As far as your other questions... you should be able to click on any user's name and view their profile. Or, I am not following your line of query.

I am guessing he was inquiring about your "location" status.
What pen?
Federal, State or Pig?

about the mail
My question was whether or not the message that was sent with my e'mail address attached will make it through as a notification here on the site or in his e'mail inbox on his Blackberry -I checked the status of the sent messages and only the "Private Message" was confirmed, not the "e'mail message"; that's why I asked whether or not the original message itself might have been lost or misdirected, otherwise he did not receive any message at all, just a private message saying "Hello again" -I didn't want to confuse. And -about the suggestion- in my buddy list all I get is a name beside a box that I can have checked or unchecked to update my list...no way to click the name/link to direct me directly to the users page. I thought that could be handy for keeping up with your buddies.

a pig pen lol
I'm guessing that if he did not want an e'mail message sent that option would not have been provided me via the link in his profile, I just did not receive any confirmation when I checked the status after the needless thought of spamming came to mind; otherwise he might -if the message is recieved- decide to use the "private message" option to safeguard his e'mail address. I did -in the e'mail- explain to him that I was new to on-site messaging, that's why I asked in this thread whether or not he might have blocked the possible spam message that seemed -to me- to be heading to his Blackberry.net inbox.

So it seems to be that he is going to be receiving an inbox message via his Blackberry model. If in response to that e'mail should I expect a direct response from his e'mail address or a notification from the site via my e'mail address -with his e'mail attached?

I have no idea what you should expect.
When I get emails to my account here, some I have to ignore, some I am happy to answer.

Sweetie, do you mean "maximum"? Maxium isn't a word... For that matter, neither is "unexcapable".

It's nice that he updated this thread and his profile after 5 months of inactivity.
