When writing a post, how come there's a selection of smileys at the top , another selection of smiley on the right side and yet another selection of smiley on the bottom

Come on guys - there's left side completely lacking any smileys

First, this is in the wrong section.

The icons at the top are for editing/formatting, the icons on the right are the emoticons you're referring to, and the icons at the bottom are for the post itself, it won't show in your text, but gives a "mood" for your post/thread.
