Hip holster here, too. Ditto Audit and conyers.

No funky pocket bulges going on here. Jeez louise, how uncouth and inappropriate.

Girls perspective.....

Have mine in a holster clipped onto my hip pocket.
One time I went to the ladies room in a hurry and doffed my trousers to the floor without first removing the blackberry. Finished my business and in the middle of repositioning my trousers the bb went in the drink....toilet.

Men have it so easy - no need to doff and sit....most times anyways.

Since then, I've tried other "positions" for my bb but none are as comfortable as on the hip. The server room I'm in most days is icy cold, so my jackets usually cover it. I also try not to go to the bathroom during the day which is REALLY difficult because I drink about 3 bottles of water a day.

They say I walk kinda funny - perhaps that's why!

The shirt pocket is great, but I find that the phone falls out a lot.

The absolute best place for a blackberry is in the inside jacket pocket of your suit, sports jacket, overcoat, etc.
well I am under forty and I wear mine on my hip where it gets bashed smashed and scratched on the job site.

This is funny! I have to agree with many of you as a woman under 30 the holster screems DORK ALERT! Unless the phone is in a holster tucked into the pocket or under a shirt. I understand the need for a holster in fact I'm thinking of getting one for my handbag because it would be easier then the dumb pouch. But if you wear the holster clipped to your belt (say out to dinner or after work hours) you are IMO in the same family as the fanny pack peeps.

You ever watch Hogan Knows Best? Terry always walks around with a fanny pack ... I think its cool; belt clip exposed though is rarely if ever acceptable.

I guess I'm the biggest nerd of them all. I have an 8830 in my back pocket, and my Pearl is holstered on my belt. Two Blackberries...I admit...I am a true crackberry addict.

The pocket guys are looking for the Mae West effect -- "is that a banana in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me."

I use a holster so that the fuzzy junk in the pockets don't screw the trackball. In reality so many people carry cell phones that most people don't notice.

You want to attract attention? Wear an old slide rule on your belt and take it out and act like you are calculating the answer for the worlds problems. lol

Wow, what a holster-wearing, freak o'nature, tool/nerd, middle manager geek.

Or is that Lindsay Lohan?

I wear mine on a bandolier with my ipod, gps, pager and calculator. I figured if I was going to go geek, I was going all out. j/k of course.

I am a suit and its hard to wear it any other place than on the belt. I only wear my suit coat when I am out of the office/meetings and it covers it then. Trying to carry a 7130 in the shirt pocket or pants pocket is difficult. I now have a pearl 2 and I have been liberated. although i am in teh market for a seidio case and holster...i am embracing my inner dork...
