I have to share this....

Ok, so there's this old guy (In his 80s I'd say) who owns/owned the original "Snappy Service" in downtown Salt Lake... He helps out at the Snappy's at the Megaplex 17, and I think there's one in the 20 as well.. With that said...

I walk in to work Friday, completely pissed off. It took me a half hour to get to work AFTER putting gas in because they extended the construction area. And some dumb lady in some new car wouldn't go faster than 25... in a 50.
I get to work, and I had to finish telling James my aggravating driving story... it was 2:50, and the old guy was there = I didn't want to clock in early.
I guess Morrie saw me... didn't say anything though. Patrick (my supervisor) told me to go fill the sinks and wash trays. First off, trays are CONCESSION'S job, not ours... but it keeps me away from Morrie, who I hate and is creepy. (Morrie is the old guy by the way)
I said something to James, and Morrie saw me and I guess decided to tell Patrick that I'm a "bad worker" and that I "don't follow directions". Oh, and that after Indiana Jones comes out, he wants me transfered to another stand. AND tells Patrick to not give me extra hours..
At this point, I'm about ready to walk out and quit... I did NOTHING wrong. It takes 20 minutes to fill those sinks anyway. The old man can blow me (eww. Not really)
So while Morrie is still there, Patrick has to come and talk to me to make it seem like a "big deal" (mind you, he more or less said Morrie is a little crazy)
So he was like, just be an angel while he's here, because I don't want to lose another team member. Then continued to ask me if I was willing to work overnight for the movies the theater is thinking of never closing for... (Indiana Jones, Iron Man)

So on one side, I've got an old man saying he wants me gone... (China Express, and Connie's both want me. Or rather, Team Leaders in those stands want me) And on the other I've got my supervisor saying the old man is a little crazy :P

If you like the work your're doing, the pay, and in general, the people that you work with, stick it out. Don't let one crumudgeon drive you away from something that you like overall.

Haha, as crazy as it seems (with all the "drama" I attract) I am totally happy with my life and wouldn't change a thing! (There was some fun drama today as well, but we wont get into it hehe)

The old guy may not want me there, but everyone knows you can't please him. I do the best I can, and if that's not enough then fine!
I'm already being cross-trained over at Connie's, which is odd, but eh! (That started at 5:00pm today, when I got off work at 6)

I would hate getting transfered just because I love the people that work at China Express (which is right next to snappy's, they share the same back room) But at the same time, the people that I love working with the most I see outside of work as well, so it wouldn't totally kill me, just make me kinda sad :P
I mean, seriously... I don't think I'm a bad person, It's not that I'm lazy at work at all, I just can't sit there and clean AIR! Lol...

But... Like tonight cross training was a blessing because one of the guy's wives showed up.. and she was being pissy, and it made everyone else pissy and he sent her home hehe (they both work at China) I ended up talking to him quite a bit about relationships and giving him advice.. Which I find funny. A 17 year old giving a 23 year old advice on his marriage :P
Then again, I've seen 2 divorces, and what happened before hand... so I see things

Well, 2 cars involved, but they're on the SIDEWALK!

no tire screeches though, so I wasn't all waiting for the impact after the sound...
Sounded bad though, almost instantly there were people yelling and freakin out... I know someone didn't WALK out of the accident, they were put on a stretcher... ambulance sat there for a bit (good sign right? Means they're conscious...) then left.. another girl stood and sat on a different stretcher though..

I guess I'll never know what happened though! I do know it sounded like someone tried turning, and got hit by someone going 50+mph... just from the fact that our entrance to the apartments is right there... and the fact that they were on the sidewalk...

All the good stuff happens around me!!! Dang!

Oh, and I had only been home for maybe 45 minutes when this happened haha! I'm actually happy I left work when I did (didn't work today) because you never know if that could have been me and one of those cars...
