I am with ATT and have a BB curve on the BB Personal data plan. I have been told that I can swap my sim to another phone and have data access (no BB email of course). For some reason it does not work for me. I have a jailbroken/unlocked iphone and an ATT Treo 750 and when I put my sim in, the data does not work. I can make and receive calls with no problem, but no data.

Any ideas on why?

I have heard some people have succes with this while others have not. Not sure why some it works for and others it doesnt

I don't know about the iPhone, but I have great service if I swap my BB SIM out of my Bold and pop it into my Treo 750. Initially, the 750 was a pain in the butt to set up for AT&T's data and MMS.

I don't think that's true.

I know for a factAT&T has many different data plans for many different phones/platforms... The iPhone, for sure, has a separate data plan which is required to iPhone data. PDAs have a different data plan, as do the Blackberries.

Their voice service will work regardless of the equipment, but data does not.

You could always call / visit AT&T for confirmation.
