Default Blackberry Professional issues

Please Login to Remove!

To start off with, I'm new to the whole BES world.

I've had a 8100 for a little while now. Just recently moved it over to BES with the free version of Blackberry Professional.

The main problem is that since switching over to BES with Telstra AU, I can't get internet on my handset. I'm guessing it's a option somewhere on the server, but I can't find it for the life of me...

Also, the calendar syncs from the Exchange server to the handset, but not the other way around. It's set to bidirectional (what I found) on the server...

Any help would be great.

A couple of things:

1. BES Version
2. Exchange Version
3. If BES and Exchange are on different machines, what are the mapi32.dll and cdo.dll versions from both?
4. What account was used to install and manage the BES?
5. Is the MDS-CS service running?

Sorry about that....

1. BES V. 4.1.4.15
2. SBS 2003 Build 7638.2 SP2
3. Same box
4. It's was setup with BESAdmin, then the domain administrators account. I installed it twice just in case there was an issue with the install.
5. Yes, the MDS-CS service is running.

It sounds like it is a permissions issue for the Calendar part.

I would re-create the BESAdmin account:
besadmin - Creating the BESAdmin Account
BESAdmin Account with Exchange Permissions - BESAdmin.ca

Dont forget the Send As:
Send As Permission - BESAdmin.ca

And then if you dont mine uninstall and re-install with the newly created service account. Or you can do a swich service account.
