For whatever reason if i take the battery out my BB8310 starts updating all of my messenger contacts, is there any way to avoid this? I take the battery out to change memory cards.

What do you mean by updating? And are you talking about BlackBerry Messenger.

Also welcome to the forum.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 10000)

This is a bug in some versions of 4.5. It has been resolved in later issues

Thank you!
By updating i mean it moves all of my bbmessenger contacts down to a "pending PIN update confirmation" list. and all of my contacts will have to confirm me again as a contact before i can start a conversation with them.

This has been happening to me for the past few days, I'm on 4.5.0.52(75) and havent had this problem for the last 2-3 months that I've been running this OS

It may have something to do with the fact that I activated on BES a few days back. I will post a reply when I have more information.

I found this in thread 84085 over on pinstack

And they say to goto Options-> Security Options->General Settings->Content Protection and change it to disabled....I have tried this and it would seem to have done the trick.

I'm concerned though because I want content protection(tip id 74 from Blackberrytips dot net) to be on for data encryption to occur when device is locked. I'm gonna keep looking into this issue as it bugs me alot!
