I REALLY hope Rogers gets the Storm 2. My Bold is amazing and I'm sure the Bold 2 will be amazing as well but with all the videos of the Storm 2 bouncing around, it's looking like I'm might make the jump. And having the bigger screen will be really nice. I tried out the Storm a few times at a Telus store and my friend got one a while ago and let me mess with it. All the issues I had with it appear to have been addressed with the Storm 2. Who knows; maybe I'll turn into one of those crazies and get one of each =P With the super fast boot times in OS 5, it wouldn't be such a pain in the butt to swap back and forth. ...although I still think I'll just go for the Storm 2. **crosses fingers Rogers gets it**

For a lot of carriers, they won't want to promote both the 9700 and the storm 2 at the same time.

if ROGERS is not getting teh Storm 2 9520 it really is not a big deal, now that Bell and Telus are on the HSPA network, which is the same as rogers then it is just a matter of unlocking the device

Default Storm 2 9520 Telus Brand Spotted

Many have been asking when the Storm 2 will be coming to Telus, or IF it will be coming to Telus. Well this should put the stop on the question if.... Now just when for sure it will be there.

i bought the 9700 from rogers on Wed nov 4 at 3:00pm and at 4:45pm returned it, it is no Bold League, should have called it a Curve III, it is identical to the 8900, only add on is the 3G and trackpad. Decided to keep my 9000

will rogers let you put an unlocked storm 2 on their system- i.e. I take my sim from my pearl and drop it in the storm 2? I can't switch to another carrier easily as bell signal strength in my house is poor at best for some bizarre reason and I have had no issue on global travels with the rogers units switching to the local service (Japan excluded).

You're right about Telus releasing the Storm 2. However it will be the same model as Verizon. The CDMA version 9550. Look for it before the end of the month for sure!!!

Why? I'm trying to decide between the new bold and the new storm. It has more memory and everything. it is just smaller isn't it.
Tell me more about what you did not like please.

Well I was coming from the 9000 so yes it is alot smaller and the keyboard felt crammed compared to the 9000. That I could have lived with. The speaker on the phone is smaller than the 9000 (just like the 8900's) and the ringtones and alerts are not nearly as loud. This I couldn't deal with. As for the phone itself, it is great and the optical trackpad is super responsive. I suppose for someone not upgrading from the 9000 this would be an overall great phone.

Default BlackBerry 9900 "Tallageda"

I have been reading bits and pieces on various BlackBerry websites about the BB 9900, which also has been refered to as the "Talladega", it is reported to be a mid 2010 release and have a full touch screen with a side slider keyboard, while this may or may not be completly true it is something that I would trade my 9000 in for, I find the 9700 just too small for me and my AT&T Contract is up.

Am I waiting for a Storm 2 that is never coming to Rogers?
At one point all the rumors were that Rogers was going to get this first. I would like to give this phone a try. But I dont really want to switch to Telus. My pearl is dieing and am running out of patience. If no word on this by Dec, I'm getting the Bold2.
