Oh well, actually T-Mobile is ranked 6th world largest mobile company. This makes your service provider AT & T SmAlLer in the 10th rank.

I think you are taking the "number 1" the wrong way. They just tend to be the leaders thus #1. I think this kind of "we're #1" stuff is silly, they are just a service provider not a sports team but that is up to the person- to each his own.

By the way did you fail to see the United States list at the bottom of this page from your same link?:
List of mobile network operators of the Americas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

They are #1 in terms of size in the US which is what most of this discussion is about- release in the US. Unfortunately that is the thrust of most of the conversation, quite jingoistic but that is the fact.

Have a great Friday!

Actually I think my post was taken out of context.

I was just having a little fun and humor. It's only a phone and they are only a carrier. Nothing to be that serious about. That's why I was simply having some fun. I could care less how they rank, as a customer the only thing I care about is the experience I have in terms of service, support, coverage etc.

Reporting the facts, as I have experienced them in the years I've been with them, they have always done an outstanding job of customer service. Resolving any issues in a timely manor and extending generous discounts on the many phones I've purchased.

Like any other large scale operation your experience may vary. I just don't happen to be one of those people who chooses to bash companies of any size or in any particular industry. That's more of a reflection of my experience as a businessman who appreciates the challenges that one encounters running a business of nearly any size.

I'm here on this forum to learn, to have fun, and to give back.

Cheers....

i have the 8700c and im glad i waited out and didnt get the 8800...really excited for this phone..3 questions though:

a) does anyone know a more exact release date/time period? i know it said spring or later this quarter but is there a more distinct date?

b) will the 8300 have Push To Talk?

c) this will be my 2nd berry and i was wondering if there is a way to either transfer my PIN number to my new 8830 or is there is a way to at least have my new phone automatically request my old bb messenger buddies. i have 34 buddies on it and i dont want to go through requesting them all again if i dont have to

thanks in advance, really cant wait for this phone

A) The release date has not been announced by Cingular yet

B) Likely it will. We tried it and dumped it after a few days, it worked poorly on our Pearl units and we decided it was simply not worth it. It seemed somewhat "Mickey Mouse" after using Nextel's PTT.

C) your buddies are going to have to be understanding. I change Blackberry devices 2-3 times a year and it is not hard to send emails to let people know your new PIN. Many or your buds will be asking the same favor of you as they will be replacing their, also!

I think those are carrier features, not device features.
