Keep in mind that Cingular has a huge customer base and alot of name recognition. When cingular bought the old ATT they rebranded quickly for several reasons, not the least of which was the horrible customer experience with the old ATT. This time, another wireless carrier didnt purchase them, but their parent companies (which were not branded cingular) were purchased, and the name of the whole was changed to ATT. I would say the branding will take 6 months to a year or even longer. (think Sprint together with Nextel).
