Hi, I've recently changed from a Palm Treo 650 to the 8320, and I bought TomTom for my Treo, using a GPS bluetooth adaptor.
I was wondering is whether there is any GPS software for the blackberry that allows you to save map data to the microSD (like the map of the UK) so that the blackberry doesn't have to connect to the internet to access map information and running up charges?
Does anyone know if Tomtom are going to release a version for blackberry?
I don't know, I don't need Israeli maps on my device.
(I have been there, however, and the soldiers accompanying our small group had all the maps they needed ).
Ok i tried it out go to mgmaps.com you have to install the software first then you can download maps there and put them on ur sd card, works fine for me no problems. I like it! U have the map of the world u select the part u want and then u generate the map.
Send me a msg if y have more questions. But it does work and there is no data charges.
