Google maps GPS not updating

I have the iblue 747 gps puck. When I open google maps, it gets the correct location "within 3 meters" but it doesn't continuously update the position if I am in a car moving. If I close google maps and then open it again, it will show the correct location that I moved to but then just stays at that spot. It works fine with BB maps and nav4all. It continuously moves my location on the map as I am driving, so I know the gps puck is working and connected to the phone.
Any ideas on what is happening?
