Yes. The issue is that the PD Reply as New feature requires BB OS 4.1 or higher. Currently pocketday runs on all BB devices with OS 4 and higher. Adding this feature would break it. We are researching various ways to enable this functionality while maintaining backward compatibility.

Default reply as new

Is there a place to get the latest info on this? I can't find anything on the Cross River website.

Any updates on this? I am running a VZW 7130e with the latest update (Sprint 4.1.0.359) and cannot get it to work. I have the option "PD Reply As New" in the menu, however it brings up the SMS screen as someone had also mentioned many months ago as well as smartphoney. Has anyone with VZW software been able to get this to work? I'm wondering if it's the Sprint software that is causing the issue as others that have reported the SMS screen are also running Sprint.

I truly hope we can get this working as having all my email from different accounts forwarded to vzw.blackberry.net works flawlessly. I have all those different accounts set up in BIS set to not forward messages....they are simply there to allow for composing messages with the correct FROM address. Now if I can reply using those FROM addresses, as this program provides, it would be awesome.

For those who are getting the SMS screen when choosing "PD Reply As New", if you highlight the To: name/address, you can scroll click and choose "Email [name/address]" and the email compose screen will open. From there you can reply as the program is designed.

So it looks like the call function of PD Reply is incorrect for either 7100 BBs or the Sprint OS. At this point I really don't want to roll back to the ancient VZW software, so if anyone is running Verizon's release and can test this it would help narrow down the problem.

The SMS bug for me is with my 8703e on Sprint. Hope that helps.

Glad it's working for you. The fact that you have a 8703 helps narrows the issue down some. I'm guessing now it's the Sprint OS. I would love to know if that is indeed the problem, but I'm not going to roll back to VZWs old os to find out...heck, it's only one extra click. But again, if anyone else can test it with VZWs release I would appreciate it.
