I have a 7510 and the voice is perfect on mine...sometimes it's so clear that I think the call was dropped...but I think this thread is for something other than nextel's voice quality..

I also have the 7510 and am very happy with the BB service - I get it everywhere, but the voice quality and PTT feature suck, I find my Verizon PTT phone works more reliably and has better all around call quality.

I don't think the voice quality on nextel is bad at all. Everytime I use a sprint phone I am reminded of how bad it can be. And the PTT feature *used* to be rock solid, I don't know what has happened, but it seems for the last 2 years it hasn't been as good as it used to be, I've had nextel for 5 years and when I first got my i1000 the PTT on it was great.
Also, nextel has the only full size BB with a speakerphone.. =)

My 6510 has the worst coverage and phone quality of all the devices I've played with. I rarely use it at all unless testing new software

I'm not sure if mine is just incredible, but my TMo 7230 is absolutely flawless.

Even given TMobile's poor coverage? Well, in this market anyway.

I'm glad to hear it. The coverage in Denver was atrocious when they first started in that market. It has improved over the years but is still bad. They may blame the terrain as an "RF nightmare" but ATT's GSM coverage is far better there.

When is the official release date expected for 4.0? Anyone have a list of new features/improvements?

HMM! That's interesting, GSM better than GPRS. Hard to believe, however I think Tmobile roams between the two if I'm not incorrect.

????
GPRS is the data network. It's the prefered network, and downgrades to GSM if GPRS isn't available.

I seem to live on the fringe of good coverage in the Tampa/Brandon area as my calendar does not seem to sync wirelessly very well when I am at home.
Sucks. I have to recofigure the desktop and resync to get them back in sync again...then go back to wireless.
I hope they will put a tower out near the cow pastures I live near.

I'm sorry, you must have me confused with someone that is actually giving out software. All I am doing is trying to impress others ;)
