Question ActiveSync Solutions?

Please Login to Remove!

So, with the current (sad) state of sync'ing on the Mac I've been looking around for other solutions.

Is anyone using a ActiveSync solution with a MS Exchange server out there?

I've run across NotifySync (UK only apparently) and AstraSync.

Can anyone attest to whether these things are worth the money?

Thanks,
Ian

NotifySync is available in the States also, I use NotifySync and AstraSync on 2 of my Blackberries. They both have their individual strengths and weaknesses but if you want to connect to a server via activesync they are the way to go.

I use my device with Kerio Mail Server which has activesync built into it. I am pleased with the way the sync my calendar, contacts and direct push email.

Thanks Mark --

It appears that AstraSync 3.0 Beta does not (yet) support email via the integrated BB inbox. Does NotifySyc? Also, I went to the NotifySync website and it clearly states that I couldn't d/l it since I was in the US. Where did you pick up your copy from?

Thanks again,
Ian

For the US you must pass by
notifycorp dot com

Notifysync doesn't pass by the BB inbox as well but it works pretty similar (Led, vibrating, pop-up...) You will hardly notice a difference. Another advantage is that (not like AstraSync) is REAL serverless (might be b/c they've a full licensed EAS from MS?). Means that you only the full price the first year, therafter it's a (mandatory) support subsription of only 25% of that. Astrasync is cheaper the first year, but you have to pay every year for a FULL service cost .... After a few years Notify pays less and seems to be a lot more stable with a better featureset too...
