First of all, Happy New Year to all!

I can not find out how to change my Voicemail notification ringtone in my 9700.
Some people say it is the same as SMS ringtone but it is not my case. SMS rings always with a ringtone I determined.
But Voicemail takes allways the same melodie from my list but I do not know why it selects always that one.

This is how to set up notification on VM. As you can see it uses SMS notification to alert the user. Reverse this to do any editing.

To set up audible or vibrating voice mail notifications on a BlackBerry device, do the following:
From the main menu, select Profiles > Advanced.
Select Loud, Vibrate, or Quiet, as desired, and select Edit.
Select SMS, and Edit. An SMS notification settings menu appears.
Configure the settings as desired, click the trackwheel or trackball, and select Save to retain settings.

OP says voicemail alert is not using the SMS profile setting for SMS.

In my experience it always has, All I can advise is retrace your steps. Are you sure, for instance that when you changed the SMS alerts you were changing the settings for the profile you are using?

Thanks for both fast replies.

I always use the Normal profile.
Editing it I select SMS but it shows a different ringtone than the one it use when a Voicemail arrives.
