I have a 400K MP3 ringtone I want to install on my 8700G...

When I put it on a file host to download so I can install, I get the error

HTTP Error 406: Not acceptable.
200: Application can not accept the content [audio/mpeg mpga mp2 mp3]

I'm confused.. I thought that the 8700g could install MP3 ringtones?

Make them smaller, I don't recall the exact size. try under 283K.

Perhaps you have searched to see what size is allowed?

I thought it was 500K or smaller; perhaps I'm wrong. Will search.

I have an 8700g and a Curve. Although it says that it supports mp3s, i dont think that support extend to ringtones, i have tried also to use mp3 tones on my 8700 but no joy.

MP3s worked for me on my 8700g.
