Default Did .42 hose my SIM card?

Please Login to Remove!

So, after getting reboots while on .42, I decided to downgrade back to the stable 4.2.2. After I successfully downgraded, my emails stopped coming, BBMessenger wasn't working, and the Internet Browser was no longer an option (only Tzones and Wi-Fi browser). Basically, I wasn't connected onto the BB network. After going through the "send your service books and reregistering your phone" bit a few times and without any more success, I decided it was time to call T-Mo. After a couple calls, they told me to get my SIM card exchanged for free at a local store. So, I went to the store as a skeptic thinking that I could still use my TZones to get to the BlackBerry homepage and that there wasn't anyway it was my SIM card. Well, they gave me a new SIM card, and voila! Emails started working, the Internet Browser is back, and BBMessenger started kicking out messages that were in queue. My question is, did .42 mess up my SIM card? If so, then count me as another person with a T-Mo 8320 that 4.5 has killed its SIM card.
