Default Call quality?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey, I am new to these forums and currently using an iPhone, but have recently become very interested in switching to a blackberry. The 8220 particularly has caught my attention and I really like the features from playing around with it in the store but being that it is primarily a phone for me, call quality is very important, could any 8220 users let me know what they think of it?

Call quality really depends on your connection and the connection depends on your location. Lots of variables come into play, most of which are out of your control.

Well I live just outside of Philadelphia and for the most part get very good coverage aside from a few areas. I just know in the past I have had phones such as the pantech duo which I kept for less than a week due to the fact that I could barely understand what was being said because the speaker was so low quality it didn't matter where I was, even in areas with great coverage it sounded terrible. I just want to make sure I get a phone that sounds clear, although with blackberry having a great reputation I am sure any of their phones would be good quality.

Well I have to say that I had to tweak the EQ for call to get a nice quality.... I put the Call Equalizer to "Boost Treble" and this really helped with both auricular and speaker...

Right now Im very happy with its call quality... but I cant really compare it to an iPhone cause I havent own one for long...

The call quality is good. Reception is dependable and consistant. I often travel in outlying areas and for the most part don't have any problems. I've had beter luck with BB 81xx, 83xx, 88xx and now the 8220 than most other phones other then nokia.
