I have went though the whole modem setup procedure TWICE and re-booted and re-booted... But I keep getting this error.... Help!!!

It says.......

Error connecting to BlackBerry

Verifying username and password

Error 734: The PPP link protocol was terminated.


HELP!!!!

If it matters I am using Desktop Manager V4.7

Are you sure you have the correct APN settings and modem string?

-have you checked to make sure nothing is conflicting with the com port in device manager and modem properties? (Virtual RIM port and the com number)
-is desktop manager definitely open when trying to use it?
-are u using *99# to dial or *99***1#?

Desktop manager IS open, and I am using *99#

If you're using XP -

Start -> Control Panel ->Phone and Modem Option -> Select the Modems Tab -> Highlight the Standard Modem (make sure the com port number is the same as one in the device manager) -> Properties -> Advanced -> Extra Initialisation command eg; at+cgdcont=1,"IP","enter apn for your carrier"
